Sr. Geraldine Wodarczyk named to diocesan post in Pittsburgh

Sr. Geraldine M. Wodarczyk, CSFN, assistant provincial, has been named delegate for religious life in the diocese of Pittsburgh. In that role, Sr. Geraldine will act on behalf of Pittsburgh Bishop David A. Zubik in providing pastoral services for men and women religious. She also will keep the bishop informed on matters concerning religious in the diocese.
Sr. Geraldine is one of two religious women succeeding Sr. Patricia Rogan, OFM, who recently retired as both delegate for religious life and director for the Insitute of Ministries in the diocese. Sr. Mary Ann Corr, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill, was named director of the institute. In her new role, Sr. Geraldine is returning to Pittsburgh; she continues to serve as assistant provincial, involved in province planning and serving as the communications liaison for the leadership team. "We are all honored to have two such devoted and capab le leaders in the church to be willing to serve here," Bishop Zubik said. "Both positions are key to the Church Alive! and they will be of great benefit to the Church of Pittsburgh."
