CSFNs announce new international leadership team

Mother Jana Zawieja, CSFN, elected Superior General of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth (CSFN) on July 21, today announced members of the new leadership team, listed with their home province: Sr. M. Helen Tereba, Australia, assistant general Sr. M. Halina Dolêga, Warsaw, councilor Sr. Angela Marie Mazzeo, U.S., councilor Sr. M. Daniela Tupaj, Europe, councilor & treasurer Sr. M. Beata Rudziñska, Krakow, councilor & secretary The selections were ratified by the 40 delegates to the CSFN General Chapter in Rome. The chapter, which convened July 12, meets through Aug. 1, with the delegates continuing to discern and plan on how to further the congregation’s mission to meet the needs of the Church and the modern world. Mother Jana is the ninth Superior General following the congregation’s Mother Foundress, Blessed Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd (Frances Siedliska). Mother Jana succeeds Sr. Janice Fulmer, superior general since 2001. Internationally, the CSFNs have some 1,400 sisters in Asia, Australia, Europe and the U.S.
