S. Clare Marie Butt, CSFNSr. Clare Marie Butt received her Ph.D. in Nursing on May 21 at Boston College’s 136th Commencement.  Her dissertation is entitled, “Supporting Hope in Midlife Cancer Survivors: Intervention Workshop.”  Sr. Clare will teach in the School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions at Holy Family University in Philadelphia starting this fall.

S. Thea Krause, CSFNSr. Thea Krause will receive her Ph.D. in Health Care Ethics from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, in August.  Her dissertation is entitled, “The Ethical Significance of the Virtuous Organization Inspired by Catholic Mission for the Delivery of Health Care.” Sr. Thea continues to work as an Ethicist and Nurse Practitioner at the VA Medical Center in Altoona, PA, and remains on the faculty at St. Francis University, Loretto, PA, and Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, PA, where she teaches organizational and health care ethics.

S. Emanuela Le, CSFNSr. Emmanuela Le graduated May 13 from the University of Dallas with an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry with a concentration in Youth Ministry.  Sr. Emmanuela will be joining the new CSFN mission in Ghana (see p. 3) this fall as a schoolteacher.  Previously, Sr. Emmanuela served as the youth minister and catechist at St. Joseph Vietnamese Catholic Community in Grand Prairie, TX.  She leaves for mission training in Rome on June 29 and for Ghana on Aug. 29.

S. Hanna ParadowskaSr. Hanna Paradowska received an M.A. in Spirituality from Loyola University-Chicago on May 10. Sr. Hanna is the local superior for sisters residing at Nazarethville in Des Plaines, IL.  Sr. Hanna continues to work toward certification as a chaplain by the NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains).

S. Marcelina Mikulska, CSFNSr. Marcelina Mikulska received a B.A. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Holy Family University, Philadelphia.  Sr. Marcelina will teach at St. Katherine of Siena School this fall.  She began her studies at Oakton Community College, Des Plaines, IL.
S. Michaela Tomkowiak, CSFN


Sr. Michaela Tomkowiak graduated from Tyler (TX) Junior College on May 11 with an Associate Degree from the School of Nursing and Health Sciences.  Sr. Michaela serves as a nurse at Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals & Clinics in Tyler, TX.
