Founded in 1954 by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth as Holy Family College, Holy Family University is a comprehensive four-year university headquartered in Philadelphia. About half of its 3,500 students are enrolled on a full- or part-time basis in the traditional undergraduate program. The remaining students are adults in graduate programs or accelerated degree programs designed for working adults.
More than 45 degree programs are available from four schools: Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Education, and Nursing & Allied Health Professions. Continuing education and accelerated degree programs are offered by the Division of Extended Learning.
3 Locations: The Northeast Philadelphia Campus serves as home of the traditional undergraduate program, offers courses in the graduate program and offers housing for full-time undergraduates. Holy Family — Newtown is located in Newtown Township, Bucks County, and offers an undergraduate program in education, graduate programs, and select courses in the accelerated programs. Holy Family — Woodhaven in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, serves as home to the Division of Extended Learning and its continuing education and accelerated degree programs. The University’s accelerated MBA also is available in South Philadelphia at Gloria Dei (Old Swedes’) Church at Columbus Avenue and Christian Street.
Respect for the individual, the dignity of the human person -- inspired by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth who founded the University, these values are at the very core of our institution. Source: HFU Communications Dept. & web site
